What It Does

euclyd is a delay built on Euclidean rhythm, the concept of spacing a number of events as evenly as possible over time.
This idea appears everywhere in music: traditional patterns, modern sequencers, pulses and swings.

In euclyd, each delay tap becomes a point in a Euclidean pattern.
By adjusting steps, taps and timing, you reveal geometric timing relationships that range from tight grids to evolving rhythmic textures.

Despite the mathematical structure, euclyd feels organic.
Swing, feedback and diffusion introduce movement, turning static divisions into rhythmic structures that breathe.

It is delay as architecture: pattern based, spatial and dynamic.

Key Controls

  • Steps / Taps: Steps are pattern divisions (1–32). Taps are active echoes (1–15). More taps create denser rhythms.
  • Time / Bars: Sets cycle length. Synced follows DAW tempo in bars; Free runs in seconds.
  • Feedback: Controls repeats. Higher values create more echoes and buildup.
  • Swing: Shifts every second tap for groove. Zero is straight, 100% strong shuffle.
  • Decay: Sets how fast taps fade. Low is short, high is sustained.
  • Dry / Wet: Adjust independently. Dry controls direct signal, Wet delayed taps, both from –99 to 0 dB.
  • Stereo / Ping Pong: Stereo spreads evenly; Ping Pong alternates echoes left and right.
  • Preset Manager: Save, load, or randomize presets.
  • Early and Late FX (Start/End sliders): Shape tone and texture with three dual sliders: Low Cut, High Cut and Diffusion. Each has a Start and End value. Start sets the first tap, End the last, with a linear transition across taps. Low Cut removes lows, High Cut removes highs, Diffusion softens taps.

Use Cases

  • Create tempo locked rhythmic delays with precision.
  • Design evolving spatial patterns and rotating echoes.
  • Build feedback textures that pulse or shift over time.
  • Add geometric timing movement to static sounds.
  • Perform live by modulating steps, taps or diffusion.
